This forum is hosted and paid for by me, Klomonx, using phpbb forum software. It is hosted on my own domain, and so contains no advertisements as I am paying for the upkeep of the site. As such, I also see all the behind-the-scenes goings ons. What does that mean for your privacy?
Aside from the things any member can see, such as your thread or post history, I can also see what e-mail you signed up with (even if you ask to keep it hidden) and your IP Address. I think I can also see when you last were on the forum, again, even if you keep it hidden. What do I do with this info? Nothing. I can in fact directly e-mail you from the forum, should I need to.
Cookies are created by this forum mainly to save your log in and forum preferences, such as the desired skin you choose. I am not collecting or accessing any personal data about you, nor am I selling it. If a time comes where I need help maintaining this site financially, I will ask for donations before pursuing advertisements. If I need to pursue advertisements, I will do my best to vet those advertising because I DO NOT want any malicious software to enter my forum. I ask the community to let me know, in this case, if they find advertisements that do not fit the forums' privacy and safety.
