Lock Thread: If a thread is outdated, obsolete, or otherwise unneeded but not rule-breaking, it will be locked. This prevents any non-staff from posting on it. This is good for events that have passed, solved questions, etc.
Necroposting: This is used to describe someone posting in, and thus reviving, a thread that for all intents and purposes has run its course. Do not necropost. It is rude; doing so usually results in the thread being locked.
Bumping: In some cases, you want to move your thread to the top of the basic thread list, for example, if you have an update to post. Selecting to 'bump' a thread makes sure it goes to the top of the list - use this sparingly, no more than once a day.
YOU CAN EDIT YOUR POSTS AS MANY TIMES AS YOU LIKE ON FORUMS! THERE IS, REALLY, NO POST LIMIT OR WORD LIMIT as far as human posting is concerned. This forum uses BBCode which is like HTML but uses brackets [[]] instead of <<>>. Use these to format your posts as needed, but please do so sparingly. We don't need rainbow text. If you need help with formatting, please don't hesitate to ask.
In general, unless adjusted otherwise, a post's formatting is What-you-see-is-what-you-get - that is, all spaces, enters, text breaks, etc. are shown as you have typed them.
